Texas spares death row inmate's life minutes before execution. My views on the subject from my open window.

Unbelievable! The Texas government have lost their collective minds! This kid planned and arranged multiple attempts on the lives of his brother, mother, and father. The last attempt worked. The father was the only survivor and it was by pure luck and God. He too had multiple gunshot wounds.

This kid walked side by side with the only surviving victim; his father for months. He shared the same house with his father; sleeping only rooms away from the man he'd attempted to have murdered multiple times. At any given time he could have finished the job but it didn't suit his purpose. His dad was the only one he had left and he knew he couldn't get away with it. Dead give away.

When the jig was up and the police went to notify the father that his son killed his beloved wife and youngest son Thomas was gone. He fled to Mexico. Apparently, he had already discussed another possible killing with an unsuspecting new girlfriend. She was of course rattled.

Back in custody, the demon in carnet fell back into his little boy blue character. The father supported him still....he has to be a saint! His love of his son was and is remarkable.

This vile animal once sentenced to death now has an unlimited free room and board and all the small amenities of the Texas prison system. What in the world?

Yet, Texas did not save the life of one Karla Faye Tucker who was executed February 3, 1998. Then Governor George W Bush refused to commute her death penalty to life in prison without parole. Karla Faye grew up living in hell and committed the murder she was convicted of after drug-filled days of no sleep and partying.

The point here is that Karla grew up as poor white trash, introduced to drugs by and put into protestation by her own mother. A truly disturbing childhood let to a horrible young adult activity. Though by all accounts of those who came into contact with Karla while on Death row said she became a new person and comforted others as opposed to asking for comfort herself.

Thomas Whitaker grew up privileged, showered with opportunities and love by an unknowing family. He even went off to college; updating his parents with stories of shining accomplishments. But by the day he had his family attacked in his presence, it was to be discovered that he was no longer even in school.

This kid told nothing but to lies to everyone he came into contact with according to courtroom testimony. Half of his so-called friends had heard first hand from him his various plans to kill his family for money.
